On December 17, Galería Uno will present an excellent exhibit highlighting the most recent works by Manuel Adria. We request your attendance.

Manuel Adria is a Catalan painter who was born in Barcelona in the late fifties. He is self-educated and has been an artistic figure in Puerto Vallarta since 1985. The Franciscan Era and the influence of Dalí, Miró and Picasso have been the most influential factors in the development of his personal style.

A post modernism exponent when it comes to his rigorous commitment to innovation and the avoidance of cloning. His work is marked by a deliberate internal texture, as well as the titles of the pieces. His style is sustained by a reconstructive vision of the subject’s picture, not just in the development of the image but also through the technical resources used during the process. The layering and composition provoke endless possible interpretations, causing the paintings to scroll. His pieces lack a precise definition of the main point or meaning but provide a clear and playful understanding of the aesthetic reasoning that validates them.

On December 17, Galería Uno will present an excellent exhibit composed of the most recent works by Manuel Adria. On this occasion, the Catalan artist has prepared an interesting mixture of ideas, capturing fantasies and creativity inspired by dreams by using rich, vivid colors that harmonically scroll between warm and dark tones and mark abridged rhythms made up of contrasts of white and black. Perhaps the notion that drives this exhibit is the re-vindication of an era that moved slower and quieter than the today’s world, suggested by the inclusion of mysterious horizons and exotic tales.
