Wow! So much going on, it's making me dizzy. The Christmas play was a BIG hit. Leon stole the show when he walked out on stage in his diaper and a washboard. We made him wear the washboard because we were afraid that he might scare the children in the audience if he didn't at least cover his chest. There were, by some estimates, 350 people there.
Christmas at Philo's was warm and balmy. Kids lined up down the block to receive their free gifts from Santa. We gave out 500 plus gifts this year. It just keeps on growing. Thanks everyone for contributing.
We are now open on Sundays for the NFL playoffs. Come root for your favorite team.
Noche Mexicana, Wednesday, Jan 14th, 2009, is the night of our 2nd, in a series of 4 benefits that we do for the community. This fiesta will be for the La Cruz Senior Center. Tickets are 150 pesos. For 150 pesos you get a delicious Mexican home cooked meal plus a great night of entertainment, including Mexican folkloric dancing, Al and Zoe's band, Philo and the Mexican Shuffle Band and a host of other musicians. Get your tickets soon. We are always sold out for these events.
