Philo here.
The weather here has sure has been cold. Night time lows in the 60's and day time temps in the low 80's. How much longer do we need to suffer these brutal temps? And when are you coming down to Mexico to help share in this suffering with us?
We are now open on Sundays for the NFL playoffs. Come root for your favorite team. And don't forget the big Super Bowl Party Feb 1st.
We still have tickets left for the Noche Mexicana, Wednesday, Jan 14th, 2009. It is the night of our 2nd, in a series of 4 benefits that we do for the community. This fiesta will be for the La Cruz Senior Center. For 150 pesos you get a delicious Mexican home-cooked meal plus a great night of entertainment, including Mexican folklorico dancing, Al and Zoe's band, Philo and the Mexican Shuffle Band and a host of other musicians.

A member of the English speaking community, Kenny Thompson, was killed in a car/ moto accident early December. It left his wife in very serious condition. When they took her to San Pancho they thought they would have to am****te both legs. Fortunately they took her to PV where she was stabilized and then taken to Tepic.
Her medical bills have topped at $25,000 US and she has no insurance. We are having a benefit concert for her on February 18th. The Redneck Mothers AND Bubba and the Bottom Feeders are partying as well as many more good musicians. The event will be held at the La Penita Soccer field in Rincon de Guayabitos.

Whoops -- between the two of us, we didn't get the class schedule right. Spanish is Thursday and Saturday, not Tuesday and Thursday
So don't forget our Spanish Classes. Intermediate class at 9:30 am, beginner's Spanish at 11:00 am on Thursdays and Saturday.
