Hola everyone,
Philo here.
The kitchen remodel is nearly finished. We are adding a large outdoor grill, so this season starting in November, we will be adding Steaks, BBQ Ribs and BBQ Chicken to our menu. And yes, we will still be cooking our now famous Philo's Pizzas.
Our first trip to San Sebastian del Oeste, which will be on Sunday, Nov 30th is starting to shape up. Most of you know how it works.. Philo and the Mexican Shuffle band take a road trip to a beautiful 400 year old village, one hour and forty five min from here, located at an elevation of 5,000 ft in the mountains. We provide a room for one night, a catered dinner and a concert, which is held in the hotel/old fort located in the center of town. The cost this year for all this will be $70 per person. If you are interested send me an email or stop by the Club and add your name to the list.

Those of you who are returning soon, please remember to bring Christmas gifts for the Children. Santa says small stocking stuff works out well. Santa will once again be handing out some 350 to 400 gifts to the children of La Cruz this year at our annual free Christmas pot luck dinner.

The Friendship Club of La Cruz is still collecting used eye glasses to distribute to the community. If you bring back glasses in volume, please contact me first to avoid paying duty. kdobek@hotmail.com
Philo's and The Friendship Club are also assisting Beta Sigma Phi, a local service organization in collecting used blankets and jackets. Please bring to Philo's.
Anyone who has registered to vote absentee in the U.S. presidential election, but has not yet received their ballots, can go to www.fvap.gov to print out a ballot to be mailed in.
For those who missed our lovely, rainy season when everything is green and drippy, you may be interested to know that as of this week, the rainfall total in La Cruz is 54".Local people are saying this is our rainiest year in 15 years.
Please vote. This maybe the most important election of our life time.
