-My Mexican Kitchen
Last year, My Mexican Kitchen opened their catering service to prepare and serve four-course dinners for small groups in private residences. This year, they’ve expanded their services to include larger groups, and will participate in the Art Walks, as well as offering cooking classes. The traditional Mexican cooking classes are taught on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and will include salsas and appetizers, soups, main dishes and desserts, along with their rich cultural culinary secrets. Tuesdays have been set aside to prepare a five-course meal, which will be shared with the students.
-Casabor
Casabor Galería Mexicana is celebrating its second year in the Banderas Bay region. For the month of November and to start off the Bucerías Art Walk, they will feature an exhibition of the works of a duo of great Mexican artists: Luis Borsán and José Torres Guzmán. They will also offer an exhibit of oil on canvas by guest artists Marc and Lou Javish, as well as watercolors and gouaches on paper by Karen Knapp. At Casobor, you can also find furniture made from antique woods. This gallery is noteworthy for their papier-mâché figures, such as the two giraffes that decorate the entryway.
-Bucerías Art Walk Plaza
Founded by Christy Ann Beguesse, the Bucerías Art walk Plaza on Lázaro Cardenas 62, the main throughway, houses four art galleries, a cooking school and lodging for those who wish to experience the true essence of an artistic community. Upon entering the plaza, you will find Pepe Parreche and will have the opportunity to comment on his paintings. You can also stop by Peace of Art and meet proprietor and silversmith Mónica Martín, who will show you her beautiful line of unique art for home and fashion, such as crystal sculptures, hanging art, craft jewelry and items inspired by nature such as ceramic works. In the upper level, you will find My Mexican Kitchen, where chefs Edgar and Travis teach a series of classes on the magical art of Mexican cooking.
