Wow! What a blast. Our outing to San Sebastian was truly awesome. We had 90 people attend the festivities. The trip up the mountain with the motorcycle gang was great, however there were a lot of pee stops along the way. I guess it has something to do with all the jiggling on the bikes. Heads up everyone. Our first of our 4 benefits that we do for the community will be happening on Friday Dec 19th. These are always sold out events so stop by and get your tickets soon. There will be lots of entertainment and a great home cooked Mexican meal to boot. It's coming up soon folks, just two weeks from this coming Friday. Please come and help us support our efforts to help the community.
Also, if you have items of value to donate for a raffle, such as dinner for two, or nice piece of artwork, please bring them by Philo's.

The Friendship Club of La Cruz, based at Philo's, is selling original and matted water colors depicting local scenes. We also have note cards and Christmas cards for sale. Artist Muriel Taylor gives 100% of the profits to support our efforts to pay for medical expenses for the needy.. We are also selling Ornamental Plants and Flowers of Tropical Mexico , written by Linda Abbot Trapp. This book would make a great Christmas present. The cost is 250 pesos and proceeds benefit the Friendship Club.
The Friendship Club funds have been low for some time. As our primary focus is supporting medical needs for children, we are reverting to our original plan of helping children, and will not be paying medical expenses for adults for the time being. Thank you to all who support us and make our efforts possible. We couldn't do it without you.
Intermediate Spanish with Laurie will begin on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 9:45 a..m. Classes will be every Thursday and Saturday, with a break for the Christmas holidays. Laurie will be using Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish by Margarita Madrigal. This book can be purchased at NV Bookstore upstairs at Paradise Plaza in Nuevo Vallarta and at the The Book Store inside Soriana grocery store at Plaza Caracol in Puerto Vallarta. A 20 peso donation will be requested to help fund the Children's English Class at Philo's.
